Transport

Aircraft required 3 Halifax and 7 Dakotas. Command to be instructed to provide aircraft required.

(C) Second sortie Calcutta lift will comprise of bulk rations 75,000 lbs clothing 15,000 lbs 100 troops British and/or Hongkong volunteers Company. Third sortie lift

to be decided later.

(D) Separate orders have already been issued to G Forward Posts. British all without essential staff and all agents in Hongkong will wear white arm bands marked with

BAAG Chop.

(F) Too Soon liaison officers will be responsible for Hongkong end of sorties and for liaison with USAAF.

(G) Top priority in all work will be given to need of POWS and internees and arrangements will be made for rapid despatch of personal massages sisters relatives.

(H) Such POWs and loyal Indians as therein fit and who may volunteer may be used for patrol or light duties.

(5) Communications. With permission of 136 Major Smith and such staff as may be determined will accompany the party and be responsible for all communications. They will set up W/T Station Hongkong to maintain all existing BAAG schedules and such consilidated WO and 136 may determine. 6. The advantages of this operation over the Wedermeyer plans are obvious. Main point prisoners are helped immediately by their own relatives friends and countrymen operation is carried out in logical manner till
